I've seen her play a couple times, interesting player. Am I correct in assuming a connection to the vast athletic Sauer family that has put out NHL hockey players and a Gopher football player?

Things could get interesting with school's decisions about online vs. in person. Hearing that some privates may do online only. That may prompt some parents to not wanting to pay that type of tuition for online classes. Also may work the other way where some privates are offering in person vs. the public school offering online only. What are people hearing?

Phew. I was worried Andover was running out of quality players.

Are there any public schools with a chance to win the 2A title other than Edina, Andover and maybe Stillwater?

Confirming, is this right?

Hannah Skavnak (goalie) transfers from Rogers (boys) to Andover. Hopefully she recovers from her broken leg. 2021 grad.

I presume the second one here is Maddy Helmstetter, moving from Minneapolis to Holy Family. 2023 grad.

Just checked my source, she said 2-3 months ago but she's now healed. So, that issue is resolved.

Replying to JG2112, I think you can include Maple Grove and Minnetonka as public schools with a chance to win the AA girls title. Both return strong starting goalies and quality skaters. While the Skippers lose a ton of experience they still have one of the best D in the state and a tremendous goalie. As for Stillwater, I'd think you'd want to win a section title in the last decade before you're placed in state championship territory.

Stillwater should be good in a few years .... St Martin is doing a great job!

According to the YHH stream of the championship of the U19 division of the Finnesota Cup, Madison Brown (leading scorer in North Dakota last season as a ninth grader) will be at Andover this season.

She'll be lucky to be a third-liner this winter. Not belittling her talent at all, because she's really good. That's just how good Andover is.

Why so vague? What is today's Christmas present?

Why would she leave Andover? And school has been in session for over a month, why "just in time before the season starts"?

We are just starting the pre season games in a few weeks. I think Maddy wanted to settled in before the season. Like I said before we will be going to state this year. There will be more transferring over.

Since she obviously won't be eligible, you are going to have an amazing JV team! Congrats!

Good for HF for stepping up their schedule a little bit this year with games against Blake, BSM, Hill-Murray, Edina, & Wayzata but they still have 2/3 of their games against Dodge Co, Jefferson, Delano, Hutchinson, New Prague, Litchfield, Waconia, etc.

Guys I understand how you are skeptical but we do have many things good tho gs doing on in girls hockey. 5 kids committed to D1, Kaiser, Kelly, Morgan, Pellucid, with many more to come Paidosh, Blair, Moss, Limke, Koeppel, hemsetler, Valentine.
We will just keep working hard and going about our business but at my count that’s 11 kids and counting. I’m looking forward playing a tougher schedule and getting to the section final against Minnetonka. If we get to the state tournament who knows what could happen? Tell me if that is not fair?
