Idk that's a tough call. I feel like all 3 winners Saturday underachieved early in the regular season but started to find their stride late. They were definitely upsets but none of them were shocking IMO.

I am going off the board and taking Hastings over Lakeville North. North has been in every 1AA final since they have been Lakeville North, that ends a streak of 14 consecutive section final appearances.

That's a solid call

42-0-1 Deontay Wilder’s corner throwing in the towel in the 7th round against Tyson Fury. Not high school hockey but still.....an undefeated boxer throwing in the towel

Blake 5-1 win over Edina. Maybe not quite an upset but wow Edina just doesn't get taken to the woodshed ever.

Given the tipsy-turvy nature of the season, section play has not been as exciting as I might have thought.
There have been upsets, but they've been fairly mild.

Agreed Westy....not sure it’s the right characterization but I think it was the most uneventful super Saturday that I can recall. Hopefully section finals give us a bit more as fans. It’s 2020 and no streaming for at least 2A 6A so there’s that. Are there any options for out of staters?

Agreed: didnt seem like a crazy day that you sometimes see on this Saturday. Not one OT game either

I considered STA over Rosemount as my choice but Rosemount has been all over the place the last few weeks, & based on the fact I saw Rapids beat ER 5-2 at Braemar in Dec., I had to go with the T-hawks. Being there Sat., makes it more of a surprise, but a lot of teams improve during the season & ER was no exception.
Wonder if there'll be more players on the teams than patrons in the stands come Thurs.?

I this wasn't a major upset. But Roseau ove STMA making the finals is a suprise. The took a 5-1 loss to EGF And looked dead. That's a pretty good job getting off the mat.

ER over GR gets my vote.
