4-2 St. Cloud final. Time for a coaching change in Roseau. Team consistently falls apart with about a month to go in the season.

He cannot make personnel decisions to save his life. Runs 6 D evenly even though he clearly shouldn’t be. Has a third liner that has taken a penalty in each of the last two games for punching in the head, think he can sit down? No instead he takes a 5 minute major with a 1 goal lead in the third. Starts the backup goalie in a huge section game (who didn’t play bad, its just another in a long line of questionable decisions).

I arrived at puck drop & (lucky) have a window seat just to the right of the home net. Have a blue jacket on & a white under armor golf hat. Victoria is a classic Catholic school rink, lots of rules & they won’t let you sit in the best seats (the cat walk that surrounds the rink)

Not a whole lot of defense by either team. According to hockey hub that makes 8 out 17 games for Century have ended in running time.

Hastings still has a bunch of section games left; Owatonna, Farmington, Northfield, and Lakeville North. Their seed will depend on the outcomes of those games. Win them all and they, at worst, are a #2 but likely the #1. Century may have trouble getting a home game now, and they could still win 20 games, with Owatonna and Northfield left losses there could knock them down to a #7.

Hill Murray over Rapids 1-0 in a very entertaining game. Hill scored with 2 minutes left in the game. Rapids with an exciting final minute and a half but come up just short.

Hermantown 4 HF 2 FINAL - shots were HT 42 HF 21. Similar to Matt Gleason, watching Blake Biondi (alone) was worth the 40 mile drive from the Halloween Capital

Suffice it to say...this years Mr Hockey award will come down to these two (before mentioned) players.

I thought the overall play from Rapids and HM was pretty sloppy. Neither team looking very sharp. Rapids continues to struggle scoring goals. It’s time to simplify things...start shooting more, putting pucks on net and crashing hard for rebounds. Quit trying to thread the perfect passes through traffic.

A lot of HS coaches do stuff like this, I chalk it up to the “millennialization” of the coaching culture

Geez, I probably walked right past you 2-3 times getting some goodies. I talked to a co-worker & his daughter who were just about centered behind the net. Looks like you were at the next table to them. I never looked at my phone the whole game. We sat at the back wall in the bleachers not far from the walkway, maybe 30' or so. Sorry we didn't meet up.

Next time, I sat at the red line during the 3rd period & looked for the Greenway button (walking in) but couldn’t see it

As mentioned here, we sat in the Hermantown section sort of by accident. To hear some of the fans catcalling the refs, you'd think Hermantown should never be penalized for anything & Holy Family should've gotten majors for a simple check into the boards.
Reminds me of Glen Sonmor in his radio broadcasts of the Gophers with Wally Shaver, when the Gophers were called, "OH, COME ON!!!!"

Had the pleasure of meeting Glen at a restaurant. Sitting at adjoining tables, all I had to do was say Mike Antonovich's name & I was in with him. He loved "Anton" as he called Mike.
Game today was a good one & fast.

EP scores 6 seconds into game and then was up 3-1 after 1st period. Blake wins 2nd period 2-1 and then scores 2 in the 3rd to win. Tons of speed and skill on the ice tonight.

Incredible come from behind win by Blake at Eden Prairie tonite .

Maybe have been the most intense 3rd period of hockey all year , exception possibly WBL vs Hill

Caps off a week of upsets all over

Bears won it on speed, neutral zone work , and best use of puck board angles I’ve seen in a while

EP had one BarDown goal counted that 99% did not go in, so glad that wasn’t the Gwg

Can’t quite figure out why Ep with 6 D1s and one more next week isnt more dominant .( Batchelder was back and looked good tonite )

Otown Clown will no doubt provide more excellent comments

After watching most 6AA teams, Blake to me is the most impressive. They may lack the 3rd line depth, and goaltending has been up and down, but as unimpressive EP seems to me, this loss I actually don’t think is bad at all.
