Mark, I don't think that is the reason. My guess is these games are the 3rd year of Gemini's North/South event. First year was at Eden Prairie. Last year they were in Brainerd. Now most likely Benilde's turn to host. I think the 4 teams have been Eden Prairie, Benilde, Hermantown, and Brainerd. Shoutout to the folks at Gemini Athletic Wear for always doing their part to support hockey at youth, HS, and college levels in Minnesota.

You are probably right.
Although hoe ice would have been tight at best.

3-2 Roseau over Rapids in OT. Fun game to watch. Pretty fast paced and even game. Roseau took a 1-0 lead into the third. Rapids pops two quick ones midway through the period and just about gets out of town with a win when Roseau ties it up with 2 seconds left. A couple minutes into OT Gunderson gets the game winner.

Greenway is getting hammered by Cathedral 5-0 in the third. Shots are 51-18 Cathedral.

That's the way it ended up 5-0. Greenway was either outhustled or outplayed or STC is just that much faster.
Started out that way & the play for the most part was in GW's end for the whole game. The SOG differential tells the story also.
I thought Wright played pretty well in the nets. otherwise could've been 7-0.
This a correction to first post. Sorry.

Going to be a long season for the green machine.

Roseau sounds like a defensive juggernaut? Blocked a lot of shots Friday night.

I don’t know if I would go so far as to say they are a defensive juggernaut. They are getting good play out of some of the newer faces back there though. And good goaltending as well. Hopefully they can keep it up.

Love to see the Rams back in St. Paul! Tuesday is a good test for section 8.
