I see in the want ad section of this morning's Star Tribune that Richfield is looking for a new coach. Does anyone know what happened to Sabetti? I can only assume he resigned for personal reasons.

Sabetti has taken a teaching and coaching position with Lakeville North. Also wants to spend more time on FANTASY FOOTBALL! Just kidding....he will be helping out Randy at North.

I am not sure how this one got past me.... Being a member of the Richfield Arena staff and having a daughter at RHS, I am not sure how I missed the fact that Sabetti had left. Well to bad, Steve is a pretty nice guy. Good luck to him at Lakeville Noth. I am curious now to see who Richfield will get to coach the boys here. They have went through coaches like water through a sieve. We will see.
________________________________
2005 GIRLS STATE CHAMPS!
2002 & 2005 BOYS STATE CHAMPS!!
GO STARS!!

I have just viewed the Richfield School website and saw that they are looking for a boys head hockey coach. Maybe the new AD, Olson, will coach?

________________________________
2005 GIRLS STATE CHAMPS!
2002 & 2005 BOYS STATE CHAMPS!!
GO STARS!!

Yes Olson has two boys in the program, but no he is not going to coach. I talked to him on Friday night at the RHS football game, and after giving me the nod for attending a public school event, not AHA, I asked him about the coaching position. he was standing with the school president and all he said was he has a couple of people in mind.... I will hopefully hear more and get back to the board.
________________________________
2005 GIRLS STATE CHAMPS!
2002 & 2005 BOYS STATE CHAMPS!!
GO STARS!!

Hey Zamman - what's going on over in Richfield? Have they hired anyone yet? It's my understanding that as of a week ago the AD was still making phone calls, attempting to persuade various individuals to look at the position. The clock is ticking...

I understand from a colleague I work with whose son skates for Richfield that Harris has been officially announced as head coach. Before a head coach was in place, the AD stepped up to organize the weight training and the pre-captain's practice ice for the players. Also that the captain's also did a good job keeping the momentum going in the interim before a new coach was in place.

Yes, Richfield has hired mR. Harris. I spoke to Todd Olson last night and he feels this is a good choice. Good Luck to him, I will be there rooting for them also.....
________________________________
Academy of Holy Angels
2005 GIRLS STATE CHAMPS!
2002 & 2005 BOYS STATE CHAMPS!!
GO STARS!!

Harris will do a good job. From what I understand it is a great group of kids that he will be coaching and Harris is committed to the program, the kids and has already been very successful with the boy's soccer program so knows how to bring the best out of the team.

Yes he has brought Richfield soccer back from the dead. I feel this will boost the hockey program. He will take the soccer success and bring that to the ice in the newly redone Richfield Arena....
________________________________
Academy of Holy Angels
2005 GIRLS STATE CHAMPS!
2002 & 2005 BOYS STATE CHAMPS!!
GO STARS!!

From what I understand from my colleague, Richfield will not have the talent that they had last year.
