Thank you.

It’s crazy to think that Delano started out the season 1-5-1 and now is the #5 seed at state. I just realized that the Tigers pitched a shutout in the section playoffs, defeating SWC/Richfield, Minneapolis, and Orono by a combined 10-0 count.
Aside from the 4 vs 5 game, are there any realistic chances at quarterfinal upsets? It seems like the top three seeds are safer than they have been the past few years.

Always a chance but I see the closest game by 3 or 4 goals.

MN River can play a pretty gritty game pretty deep in the roster. Not making any claims for their upset chance but if EGF plays their shut down win 2-1 type of game MN River might be able to stay in it and play that way with them. We’ll see , maybe I’m wrong and North Vs. South will blow that away, but as far as southern teams go MN River has a tenacity through a couple lines that’s often lacking down here.

If what you say is true, it could be a great game... EGF has had some problems scoring goals, as of late (outside of RLF game). But I do think it's a matter of time before they break through. Against Warroad, they had many fantastic opportunities, and that game could have easily been 5-1, or so, if not for the Warroad goalie.
