Would love to know what you consider bad as I would be happy to defend every team in my ranking.

Blaine at 13 seems quite low too.

Guys, he did this last year. The way he does it works better the later you get in the season. We're getting there.

So it would be helpful to know where you believe Duluth East should be ranked and I assume you believe Buffalo should not be ranked, I would ask who you think should be in place of Buffalo? But I will do my best to explain their ranking. Basically teams are weighted with a point value based on their ranking, teams earn points per win and regulation ties, with ranked teams obviously having the higher point values than unranked teams. Point values are recalculated each week, losses are not considered as the formula is based on a teams positive potential. So teams are ranked where the points they have earned place them. So if Buffalo is in the top twenty it is because they have earned enough points to be there. A win over Chaska, a regulation tie against Roseau and a tie against Wayzata, all top twenty ranked teams have contributed to their being in the top twenty. Even without my formula I think there is case for them being there. You can throw in wins over ranked class A teams as well, Monticello and North Branch, obviously not the same weight as the AA ranked teams but nonetheless they have been a formidable team at times this season.

I thought it seemed low as well at first glance, but their first significant win of the season just came this past weekend against Maple Grove, they have some nice ties against MG, Andover and DE but they will need more BIG wins to move up. Based on that I believe my formula has them right where they should be, and with a few more BIG wins they will move up fast.

Blaine and Chaska caught my eye as off but I also see the Buffalo successes being better than Cretin's. Rankings not as off as first glance.. Thanks for doing them.

They may be #3 after Tonka/Edina. They have tie and W against Andover this year and when you consider their only L's were very close (or OT) games vs MG/EP, along with the fact that I'm not sure there is any team in the state that's been hotter over the last 3 weeks.
