Yes, I think so. The show has won two Emmys in its first two seasons. The show goes behind-the-scenes to practices, bus trips, locker rooms, and so forth. I think they also give cameras to players to film their own thoughts from home. Tonka should be an interesting team to follow as defending champs and #1 ranked team in Class AA. The filming is taking place now through the end of the season, although the first episode won't air until February. Apparently adidas is the sponsor of this season's "Dream State" and Tonka has new uniforms from adidas.

Mark, the show is very well done. Excellent. It was too bad Moorhead didn't make state as far as the show goes, like the year Sports Illustrated had the big feature written on Budish & Co. only to see the Spuds upset Edina on Thursday at state. Emmys deserved in my view.

"Dream. State." will debut on FOX Sports North on February 5 at approximately 10 p.m. CT immediately following the "Wild Live" post-game show. New episodes are scheduled to run through March 14. Episodes will later be shared on their website.

The first 3 game of the season were YHH sponsored or covered events. Expect to see a lot more of P&B over the remaining 5 episodes as they stream a majority of all Tonka, Edina and Ep games.

I think Pete/Bart do a fairly good job of being impartial and are often quite complimentary of Tonka. They're great assets to HS hockey viewing.

I was also very impressed with the sound bytes (even if brief) from the other broadcast team we heard in the first episode. I missed some of the early Tonka games this year and I wasn't sure I heard them before. Did I hear right that Tim Hanus is part of that crew?

Yes, John Conley and TIm Hanus called 'The Opener' games. Dream State also showed the Tonka squirt team wearing Hanus Sports jerseys. FWIW, Pete Waggoner has beefed on-air several times about the Dream State crew crowding him in the broadcast area. He's not shy about speaking his mind. Doesn't mean Dream State won't use P&B's announcing in future episodes. P&B do a great job working together. Nobody brings the excitement of Pete doing play-by-play in the big moments. Bart provides instant analysis after the whistle.

A few typos I caught on the first episode: Luke Loheit and Matt Koethe were from the class of '18 (state championship team), not 2017. Matt was credited as "Max" Koethe in the credits. I also noticed a woman's first name ("Chrstina") in the credits was misspelled.

Another typo: Former player Sam Rothstein was identified as "Sam Rosthein" on the on-screen text:

Lets not forget the good coverage by Tonys YHH regular season crews. Well done boys!

I saw Jeff Kuzara's name in the credits but didn't remember him from the first ep.

Doubt they interview Lupovich if he's still around. He might have some choice words about his being replaced with Erickson.

Be interesting if they spend any more time on the 1985 QF loss to BJ outside of the crushing video from the 1st ep.

Jeff Kuzara was shown in a brief clip from the 1985 state tourney introductions. I assume he gave permission if they put his name in the credits.

The season is six episodes long. Episode 3 was Hockey Day Minnesota. Presumably there will be a couple more episodes before the playoffs begin.
