leave the degange kid out of it. i agree his skills need inprovement but there is no need to be an jerk about it. i would hurt inside if someone wrote this about me.

i did see him play baseball the other night. i think he had about 2 or 3 hits. i thought he was ok basball player. maybe should have not played left field but he did get the job done at the plate

ok first we r talking about degange and him sucking at hockey not the baseball, so back to the topic they will not get out of 2a, Dmarshall will just be too strong and sr loves to choke and somehow lose it, they wont' even make it to the finals unless cathedral and dm play in the semi's

what i am trying to say is. you don't need to get personal. but i do understand what kind of person you are by righting this.

you don't impress me!!!!!

by putting down someone like that, you only show what a dullard you are. (oh yea you might need to look that up)

Hmmmm....can we all agree to talk about worthwhile topics on these threads? Bashing each other's skill and intellect (or lack thereof) is immature and pointless. You know, if you have a "bash" going on between two users, keep it between yourselves...how do you do that? Just click on the user's name and it will bring up information on the user and there is a wonderful option that says "email me". Use it next time, boys.

Basically, here's how things are...

Sauk Rapids definately has the offensive firepower to get out of the section. Their downfall is their defense, which no one can disagree with me on. Hopefully next year they can get some guys to step up back there, because I like how these guys play.
2A

CHS will still be a very good team this year, even tho they lost a lot of seniors they will be very strong defensively especially with hess between the pipes and they have 4 very strong returning defensmen and there offense wont be to bad either. My pick for 2a will come down to dmarshall or chs.

Isn't Crandall one of the defensemen at CHS? If so, doesn't he have a few years of experience on the varsity squad, and is only a junior next year? As to Hess, the goalie...how many years of varsity experience does he have, if you know. Is he a junior/senior this year? Duluth Marshall has pretty fine scoring forwards....I think they have a very good chance of taking the section title this year.

Yes Crandell is one of the defensemen at CHS. He has played at chs since 8th grade and is only gonna be a junior next year. As far as hess goes he came on to the squad last year as a sophomore, and is a very good goalie. dmarshall still has a good chance of taking the section title but i think chs will be right there with them competing for the title as well.

Crabs, I agree 100%. Hess is a very good goalie and Crandel in a stud. I watch Cathedral win the Championship game at the Spring Lake Park Tounrnament last weekend and the kid never leaves his skates unless he's pulled down. He actually scored the game winner in the overtime shutout. I heard he will most likely b e leaving to play Juniors next year, and I think Hess was drafted or tendered by the Blizzard. Cathedral will start slipping after that unless some guys step up.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p074.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... RLStars at: 8/5/05 12:04 pm

As far as crandell sticking around for senior year nobody knows, but if he does leave he is a player that is very hard to replace and will definitely make a difference on whether or not he stays. Hess was not drafted by the blizzard, Joel Rindelaub was drafted by the blizzard.

rlstars. no mention of m. bailey, scc defense from eden prairie...who garnered the mvp spot this past weekend! bailey and crandel appear set for 1st line defense. bailey left a strong ep jv team two years ago, moving to st. cloud...arguably he could be skating on varsity this year had he remained in ep. (ep spanked breck in the burnsville stp tourney 7-0, so their getting it done even without bailey). good luck to scc.

chs

i think it will be dm and scc again for the finals for the third year in a row and as long as cathedral can keep up their scoring and play as in the spring lake park tourney they have a very good chance at going to state...
yes u should also mention bailey. last year it seemed like he might not have fit in but from the tourney he has gotton much better witha better shot and better overall play.

as on sr, srry bout the comments on degange, but yes they don't have the D. there goalie most of the time will make up for the lack of D but he isn't always totally there. They have the fire power to put teams away and to keep with them but they have a few headcases than can hurt them.

No matter how the teams keep up there play or slouch off it will be up to scc, sr, and dm to go to state.

I wouldnt count denfeld out. I dont think anyone will be able to stop there top line with brandon owen, Brett Johnson and Jake Johnson (US Under 17 Team member). I think this will be by far the top line in the section as for the rest of the team i wouldnt know how they will be but this line is gonna be dominant.

top line??

top line??how would anyone know what the line combos are gonna be?? I recall that owen kid being on the blue line last year, or am I wrong?

owen

yes, owen was on the blueline last year. he was a pretty good forward however denfeld's lack of solid defense caused him to be moved back there next year. i think what whoever posted that might have meant rob bordson, because i do know he played with the 2 johnsons last year.

I noticed Bordson's name on the Elite League roster sheet, it said he plays for Duluth Marshall, can anyone confirm this? His stats from the past two years have been quite impressive, but for Duluth Denfeld. Does anyone have any idea why he would change schools before his senior year?

dude...think of how good the SR team would be if they threw Alex Stuart back there at D. He would be a senior for them had he not gone to Shattuck. Too bad for SR that they lack D, but their offense is my favorite in the section. This group of seniors dominated at youth hockey, and expect big numbers from peckskamp.

As for cathedral, they say that they had a hell of a weekend in Blaine. Hess didn't play a second as Andrew Russel took all the action. Russel is a small kid but quite the good game goalie. Hess is a little more hyped up but don't be surprised to see Russel get quite a lot of action this year. I heard Nate Schmidt (8th grade) played for SCC and racked up 8 or 9 points in 3 games against some pretty good teams. I've even heard several SCC players say he'd be the 2nd best forward on the team. If schmidt plays for these boys, their chances increase. But will he?
2A
