Have not heard of any yet but would not be shocked if Orono is looking for a new coach!

Why would Orono want a new coach? They did win the Class A Championship.

We've also heard Nate Peasley has resigned at North St. Paul, but have no confirmation yet.

A guy I was talking to at the tournament said North and Tartan were combining for hockey. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

It would be highly unusual for the MSHSL to allow two stand alone AA programs to become a co-op. North has a decent number of underclassman, 20 by my count on the MSHSL page. Tartan's bantam A just missed the state tournament finishing 3rd in regions. Maybe there is something else beyond numbers, but numbers are usually the deciding factor.

Confirmed from people in the know on this matter that it is at least in the works. Haven’t heard an update if it’s official yet.

I believe he was being sarcastic. Orono has a long history of chewing up and spitting out hockey coaches... including some very good ones.

Reed Larson resigned as Virginia-MIB coach last night. Said he was moving to Grand Rapids to teach (and be closer to family).

Willie and Richie from the Tony Sarsland coaching tree, would have to bring them back.

Looks like Bloomington Jefferson is looking for a new head coach. Lindquist has officially retired. Storied program, but don’t think there’s much coming up to help the next guy either.

I am guessing Peterson at Hopkins will be interested in the Jefferson job since he lives there.....so Hopkins will have an opening soon :)

The more I think about this, the more curious I am as to how many will apply for the job. I’m guessing a fair few, but a far cry from the pedigree of candidates lining up for the Minnetonka job last summer. Will be interesting to follow.

My un-named source says the job is his if he wants it.

The North St. Paul and Tartan girls combined for this past season and they're both a AA program.

If the boys do combine, they will be strong as Tartan also had a young team this year.

Is he the brother of Toby, Ian and Bethany Peterson?

I was forced to sign a NDA like Trumps porn mistresses so I cannot divulge my source
