As usual, we'll do the money game for sections. Here's how it works:

Pick the teams you think could win each section, and multiply the number of teams you pick in each section by each other to figure out your "bid." The person who gets all sections correct with the lowest dollar amount wins. There are winners for each class and overall, so do both classes.

For example, with AA teams:

Jeff, that would be a different contest.

I introduced the Pick 8 on this board probably 10 years ago. Like the Pick 6 at a horse track or Twin-Tri with carryovers in jai-alai, the challenge is figuring out how much to spend in order to be assured of having all 8.

If gambling were legal I would run this like a lottery and people across the State of Hockey would be wagering various amounts. "Just a buck, and a prayer" to borrow from Beavis & Butthead on one extreme and quant-jockeys pooling money and loading up on different combinations in order to have multiple winning tickets.

I think it has taken a lot more to buy a winning combo every year but one when favorites came through.

Go ahead and start a new thread with the Most-of-8 format and I'm sure there's strong interest in that as well.
