Am I wrong or am I right. Is it true that the Falls Broncos were named something different before Bronko Nagurski came around. As in the team name. Or were they always called the Broncos?

If I remember right, the Falls did not have just one name. Then Athletic Director, Walt Scheela, (Scheela baseball field fame) thought they should have one name for all sports teams.
This was sometime around 1948-1950 I am thinking. He thought Bronco (with a C, after Bronko with a K) would be appropriate.
