I guess I'll answer my own question. Took a quick look back at the publish seeding. The human coaches/political process got the seeding order wrong:

I think this year's bracketology is going to be pretty darn tough to make it thru without dipping below 80%. Anytime the predicted score differential of a game is less than 1.0 goal, a girls HS game can go either way. I count 21 games that are going to be tough to call; 6 QF's, 5 SF's & 10 Finals.

I guess time will tell. FYI, over the past 3 years, various computer rankings, not just LSQRank has out-performed the human seeding process by about 6% to 8%. STAK & USHSHO has been significantly better than the humans with regard to the WIS Prep hockey game predictions. 80% of the games are pretty cut & dried as far as there outcome barring the extreme upset that neither anticipates. the remaining 20% of the (close) games are where the analytical models generally do better job of prediction due to the lack of human sentiment/bias etc.

It's a BIG day for Girls HS sectionals today , we have 6 semi-finals today and the rest of the quarterfinals get started!

Also note , last night sec 3A had their semi's with MARSHALL & MANKATO EAST winning to set up their final on Feb 14 in Redwood Valley.

WELL,well, well...We have our first TOP seeded team lose tonight..

DULUTH MARSHALL defeated PROCTOR/HERMANTOWN 2-1

Also, we saw an absolutely fantastic game between EAGAN & EAST RIDGE..

EASTRIDGE wins in double OT 2-1...their goalie Ms. Chloe Heiting was fantastic!!

AND, as I type LVL S & DC go to 4OT

Not sure about the HUB stats for LVL S/DC...they show On the live score sheet that the game ended at the 75:33 mark, which would be in the second OT, ...but their BOX score shows game still tied after 3OT

Wow - The Duluth Marshall goalie is good. And they are well coached. Nice win.

Northfield beat Owatonna

I changed it to Northfield,,,earlier this am the MSHSL website had Owatonna winning 3-0
Also at this time Minnesota-scores.net still shows Owatonna winning 3-0

note on the MSHSL website they have the bracket from last year for sec 6A

For section 6A and 8AA, you gotta go under the region tab and click on 8AA, then you can find the correct brackets for this year under Girls Hockey for the respective section.

Huge upset duluth Marshall beating Proctor. Hats off to them. Anyone see the game?

Moose Lake loosing to Hibbing was also a shocker. This was supposed to be the Rebels year with the senior class they had, and beating some 7AA schools. Thought they had the best chance to make it to state.
