35 years of watching hockey and I've never seen anything like this one - at any level.<br><br>Semi-finals in the Maroon Region PW B<br><br>Blaine vs Maple Grove<br><br>Blaine ties the game 2-2 with about 4 minutes left in the game. With time running out, MG dumps the puck in the Blaine zone. Blaine's defensemen (big kid) takes the puck from the goal line, takes a couple strides and fires a slapper with a few seconds remaining. The pucks travels the length of the ice about knee high and takes a short hop right in front of the MG goalie. The puck climbs over the goailies stick and finds a hole in the pads and dribbles in with a fraction of a second left. GAME OVER. Blaine wins 3-2. <br><br>MG loses later that day. Season over. Blaine goes on to beat Eden Prarie to take the championship. <br> <p></p><i></i>

Happened to my son in pee wees 6 years ago. A weak dump from the other side of the red line, He put his stick down to stop the puck, it bounced off the stick and his skate and went in.<br><br>It was the championship game in a tournament. We came back to take the lead later, but ended up losing the game by a goal.<br><br>To this day, whenever he plays the puck like that, he goes down with his glove hand just to make sure. <p></p><i></i>
