That is going to be a fun game. Can Wayzata ruin Tonka's momentum?

In previous years this would be an important Section seeding game for both. Now it is just for old Lake Conference pride.
Do people still hang banners for Conference Titles? Way back in the day, winning the Lake Conference meant something.

Ben Brinkman will play tonight for Edina. Hopefully he will give them the boost they need back at D!

Pretty sad what has happened to conference play with section realignment "merry go round" and A/AA split. Was looking forward to this game, shame in Mn hockey mag

Follow The Puck has Farmington beating Lake. North 1-0

Wayzata beats up Minnetonka, North Shore hanging in there with Greenway.

East-Forest Lake score?

Looks like Elk River squeaking out a win over Andover.

Hounds up 6-1 after 2. Methinks this team has found its offensive stride.

Brinkman is not listed on the box score on the hub. Anybody attend the game? Did he play? How'd he look? Lots of ice time?

I would guess winning the toughest conference in the state still means something to these kids.

Yep, Farmington played very well and has improved a lot over the last month. I was at the BSM game tuesday night too and they outplayed them for long stretches of the game and really should have won.

LN played a good game too. Had 36 shots but less then 5 that were quality. No traffic in front of the goalie, not a lot of rebounds, Farmington really boxed in and did an excellent job pushing things to the outside. They also trapped well in the neutral zone and created a lot of turnovers, which is usually Norths bread and butter. This made supporting the puck difficult for North when they did break into the offensive zone. Offensively LN lives off of opportunistic turnovers and odd man rushes and they had very little of that.

Farmington doesn't have a lot of offense and actually looked worse on their PP then they did even strength. Of course North has a pretty lethal and very aggressive PK though. Farmington did't want to get into a run and gun shootout with LN and hats off to them they really played well to their strengths. They are gonna be tough to beat in sections.

North woods old timer and HockeyTweet,

Sorry had low phone battery. Yes indeed, Trojans came to play and certainly did ruin the Skips momentum. Tonka was flat and gave up shorties and lots of other odd man rushes where Hansen had no chance. The often underreported journeyman Billy Duma had great game for Trojans , and Hank had a great breakaway snipe for one of the shorties. Schilling looked like his old self and was perfect in goal. Skips have to regroup, they face BSM next Tues
