goaline,
Just in case you did not read the article it is an update of an equipment recall. I am willing to bet there are a number of goalie parents checking to make sure they do not have anyone of the models. If one player changes then it is worth it.

The question to ask if you really care about the players is why did I have to post the link?
Where is USA Hockey and their preaching of safety? Oh Bauer is a paying sponsor.
Where is the Mn Hockey safety committee on this issue ?
Why hasn't the recall made any major newspaper in the twin cities.

Yes there are risks but it is also important to minimize those risks!!

BTW czar is the correct spelling.

An equipment recall in a major local newspaper? Now I know why you are posting this nonsense here... Csar is a hybrid of czar and tsar -- and you are it!

The recall by Health Canada, the Consumer Product Safety Commission of the United States and Bauer Hockey Corp issued a joint recall for 3 Bauer Goalie masks in March of 2015 the link I posted is from Dec 22,2015. Apparently the first recall did not reach all as there were 2 serious eye injuries, a second link goes further.

The safety for all players should be the number 1 priority for all and that includes the equipment all use to protect their players. Recalls of any defective hockey equipment needs to published anywhere hockey people have access to.
Goaline if you truly believe this is nonsense I feel sorry for you, maybe click on the link in the article and read how they are trying to save one players eyesight
