I was very impressed with John Marshall the two times I saw them this year. They dismantled mayo and have blown by everyone else. Did not recognize them this year com paired to last. This year breakouts of zone smooth and passing a treat, defense was solid and goalie looks the part, I know the top rochester team gets the four seed and death by lakeville north come sections but I am planning to catch a lot more of this team then any other rochester team the rest of the year.

Looked solid against a ranked A school. Great passing and defense after that first period. Enjoyable hockey to watch. Anxious to see how the do against St. Paul academy this weekend.

Weak SOS thus far for John Marshall (or any the Rochester teams). What # is your player, TP93?

Relatively speaking the rochester teams play two of three class A ranked teams each year and one of the lakeville teams or Farmington. From those matchups we can compare the teams. This year for JM it is northfield, St. Paul academy.

Yes compared to other metro teams their schedule is weak but compare able among rochester teams.

We'll see how Mayo stacks up against Hibbing tonight. I expect Hibbing to win, but its seems like its always a tight game when these teams play.

I don't think there is any question who is better between mayo and jm. The jm controlled two of three periods and out played mayo in every aspect of the game. One hint to all playing jm, stay out of the penalty box jm is very good at power play.

JM looks to be the best Rochester team. Big deal.

Why is it that Rochester doesn't split their youth associations by high schools? The youth program seems to be good but then the kids get to HS and get split up. Maybe I'm wrong but isn't that how Duluth works their youth program? East and Denfield each have their own association, right?

All Duluth teams fall under the Duluth Amateur Hockey Association. East and Denfeld kids split into East and Denfeld teams at PeeWees. Squirts and below, they play at their local rink....Congdon, Piedmont, Duluth Heights, etc.

I am not sure if this happened or not, but there was discussion of the bantam teams from Denfeld and East joining up due to numbers.....that is whole other conversation.

So how did that mayo vs Hibbing game turn out for you ? Looks like Lourdes did well also against greenway. Jm played a quality opponent in northfield that is also ranked and won. Jm looks pretty good now!!!
