Incoming Mtka transfer

Heard a fairly solid rumor today of a huge bantam transfer pickup by the Mtka system, to add to the already loaded group of talent rolling thru the Skips bantam, JV and varsity ranks in next few years. If true , Tonka has just picked up a kid who has been ranked in the top 5 caliber statewide players in Squirts and Peewees in recent years. Out of caution, I will leave unnamed and wait to see if confirmed by others with first hand knowledge

Skippers are returning maybe half of their state champs from BAA last year ... I know where my money is going.

The kid is what? 14? Nah, you can find it on the BEL/YHH pages if you look hard enough. Not too many in that group.
He's a first year bantam, shouldn't be too hard to miss.

Just to narrow down further, he was rated # 1 in YHH list of top 50 Statewide PeeWees last year.

Isn't he a Cretin kid? Or is it the Minneapolis kid?
One item of note is that this years first year Bantams from Minnetonka, which have been so so to this point, already lost their best player to Shattuck.
Interesting move.

With the new MN Hockey rule how will they be eligible for AA as a transfer?

You mean the "new" rule which essentially reverted back to the old rule? If they are moving to Minnetonka, then they are eligible for the top team. Even if they simply change to Minnetonka schools without moving there, they may, I think, be eligible under "unusual circumstances" at the discretion of the District director.
This is and has been allowed at the High School level as well, where families got around the intent of the rule by renting empty apartments, claiming bullying, financial hardship etc. Where there's a will there's a way.
