Tough draw for Bemidji. Also DE would match up better against North rather than STA, but I still believe they will give them a good game. Hate to see East and Bemidji on the same side.

As a Hermantown fan I love this matchup and will not miss this game!!

Also nice to be able to watch both North teams in 1 session.

Hoping Edina takes Bemidji lightly and leaves the door open for an upset.

If the Hounds can beat ER, they can beat STA.

Well I'm pretty excited about the draw, should be an exciting rematch with a hot Hounds squad.

My thoughts on the biggest winners and losers with these pairings: the biggest winners are Duluth East for not having to play either Edina or Lakeville in the first round ,and also the same for Blaine by virtue of them being seeded. I think the biggest loser may be Lakeville who will have to face Jacob Olsen and Company on the blue line in the first round,even though they did beat them earlier in the seasoN

For me its less nastalgia and more about wanting a true STATE TOURNEMENT , rather than what we have now which is a metro tourney plus a few outsiders for fun. Wanting the two in oposite brackets is just my need for more interesting matchups.
