Where is the poll?

Grand Rapids fans outnumber all fans in this forum 10-1. Grand Rapids would win any pole against any team in the entire state of Minnesota.

Beating East in the fashion they did on the road is an enormous hurdle to jump for this team mentally. I think Rapids as a young team got caught off guard for whatever reason at Cloquet, maybe they thought it would be a lot easier coming off the Edina Classic. I they can play with confidence they did on Thursday they will win tomorrow night on home ice. This game is huge for seeding. Most likely the winner locks down the 2 seed. The loser goes into a 2nd half race with East and STMA for the 3 seed. My prediction, Rapids wins 5-2, close game through 2 and they pull away in the 3rd.

Cloquet is better than people think. I expect a tight game but a narrow win for the Jacks.
Cloquet 4 - Grand Rapids 3
Koby Bender in on all 4 goals against the Indians for the second time this season.

No doubt the Jacks will be prepared, but I am hoping the Thawks will be as well. Tough to beat the same team twice with as close and admittedly inconsistent (GR) as many of them are. Big game for sure, can't wait to see it play out.

Have to hope that the "real" Grand Rapids team that showed up for East will show up for Cloquet. If so I figure that they will be tough for them to contain and that the D and goalie will do their jobs again.
Rapids 6
Cloquet 2

Rapids 4-2 all of u r forgetting that cloquet will get homered by the ref. 2-2 going int 3rd. Cloquet will have 3 penalties in the 3rd Rapids 1. Goaltending will have no impact on this game both teams are weak in that position

Looks like rapids got a little home cooking at the Cloquet game?
Third Period penalties at cloquet
1 rapids to 4 cloquet
Third Period penalties in Rapids
2 rapids to 0 virginia
2 rapids to 0 roseau
2 rapids to 1 warroad
2 rapids to 2 duluth marshall
2 rapids to 2 lakeville north
1 rapids to 3 mahtomedi
1 rapids to 2 st. francis
3 rapids to 1 brainerd

Grand Rapids has actually been reversed homered, historically. Especially since the early 2000s.

It appears as if GR is reverse homered, but its more of a matter of what is called when, what is not called and like Warroad - turning the heat up or down in the locker room, lining the locker room floor with a little grit and so on....
Come on, you know you guys have the home ice advantage....
I fell off my chair I am laughing so hard.....

Northwoods got me in a stats frame of mind.....
In comparing all Cloquet & GR goalies against same teams (common opponents = Herm, Hopkins, East, Virginia, FLake, Roseau, SFrancis, Eden Prarie) -- GR has the edge with 25 goals against on 206 SOG (.88 sv%) versus 29/187 (.84 sv%). Comparing starters: Gerth versus Houlshouser against common opponents (Hopkins, East, FLake, SFran) - Gerth 95% (6 goals on 112 sog) Houlshouser 89% (8 goals on 74 sog)

I wasn't saying it had meaning, I just think that was well done research.
