Anyone else find it "ODD" that the State of Hockey is Hosting some of the best Hockey the State will see this year over the weekend, and nobody mentions anything about it? :(

Not odd. Way to many State of hockey "homers" on this site to admit that Tier 1 is (overall) a better brand of hockey than the MSHSL (except a top 20 playoff match-up). All of the games were competitive and entertaining. It was a pleasure to watch.

But hockey is homer by nature. Gopher fans rarely watch NCAA play-off games once their team is out (they are not the only ones to react this way).

That is why NCAA hockey games are not televised on more than a local level. Hopefully the NCAA Championship game is not put back on "ocho".

Look at NCAA basketball. Everyone loves to hate basketball, but ratings are high and while maybe some interest is driven by "how are my brackets" doing ... every minute of every game is on TV.

NBC is trying to elevate interest in the pro game, but that endeavor is not simple either.
