Revolution picked up a lot of good MN players!... No worries about transfer technicalities this time around!.. I heard they looked good last weekend.

How did their invites work?

I ask because it appears, to my untrained eye, that there are a few girls in that Premiere Prep league that could be on these rosters.

But they really didn't miss much (if any) of the top level talent.

It's tier 1. No transfer or eligibility concerns other than age.

Maybe former EGF Head Coach Scanlan heading to BSU for the Mack sisters. Quit Soccer in 2013 to concentrate on hockey...

Or maybe they're just doing what they believe is in their best interest, in terms of development and landing a college scholarship. Not saying they made the right decision, or not, but it is their decision to make and we shouldn't criticize.

Is that what it is? The almighty scholarship uprooting families, I won't ever understand it... I think we can be critical, in a philosophical sense, about what parents allow kids to do over a game. Just so interesting

I'd argue that those players were already getting recruited D1. I don't think the move had anything to do with committing to college hockey. It wasn't for the academics at BE, clearly. Maybe the uptick in perceived Tier 1 competition and a team with consistently as good or better (in most cases) teammates than they had at home school will give them a better chance of not just making but actually playing and contributing to a big time college program?

And mnhock - nobody is criticizing the girls who moved over up down whatever. They are criticizing the parents.

Not criticizing at all. Stating plausible reasons for making the switch.

I expect the purpose of "forum" is to have a dialogue on issues, events and news related to the girls game. If we can't have critical discussion, or offer critique, regarding those things impacting HS hockey then we might as well stick to posting scores

Buddy of mine's daughter just got a scholarship of 80% to a nice little school out east which in the end equals about 240K and the schools academics are ridiculously good.

Now there are 2 Mack girls...I would agree with goaline, uprooting families for 480K (2 x 240K), a great college education at a premier academic school, and giving the girls 4 more years to play the game??? Who are these people???

Yes but getting As at Blake or Breck or Tonka does not equal getting As at BE. You don't think they were getting recruited from EGF already?

If...and I say "if" that was the reason, because I don't know. I'll ask you, do you think they would have left if they were happy with the exposure or recruiting they were getting?

My argument would be that if they were already maximizing their exposure if GF, they must had made the move just because they love hockey and wanted to play more.

I totally agree that it's fine to offer critique "on issues, events and news related to the girls game" but this is critiquing what is a purely personal decision - one that was theirs to make. I don't agree that questioning the motives of these individuals - either the girls themselves or their parents - is appropriate in a public forum.
