I heard a couple tidbits about an 02 scrimmage that I thought were interesting. Does anybody have the whole story, and the outcome?

I heard the Selects organization was looking for girls for its 02 Team Minnesota; the director of a local program responded, look no further, I have your entire roster right here. A couple coaches from other teams apparently did not agree with his assessment.

Just heard there was a conversation between the two heads of their respective teams about the selects tryouts. Mr. Machine said he had all of the best 02's which is far from true. Mr MG want to have an open tryout for team MN which selects is going to have on Oct 19. I don't see what the big deal is,yes it is a trip to Europe in the spring but the tryout is right in the middle of association tryouts.
Last year they could not fill the team with Minnesotans. Money making operation disguised as an hockey opportunity.

As sad as it was that they couldn't fill the whole team, the trip was a huge success. The return word of mouth from the kids that got to go has put the bug in the other families that considered it, but didn't pull the triggger. Hopefully next years trip to France and Italy, MN can field a whole squad and be more successful. I heard one of the biggest demise of that team that went over to Finland was one players total unwillingness to pass the puck...that and the leftover players that were put on their roster to fill the lineup.

If it's true that a player didn't want to pass the puck, there's a very easy solution to that.
