Color My World...in Jerseys (Edina this time)

Hi Ya all -

Jersey time. What are the color-levels in Edina, i.e. who is the top of the heap color-wise? Green? White? Black? I think I've seen yellow sometimes?

Also, do other schools have multiple colors for their A & B teams?

I know our local association different color jerseys for levels, but it changes from year to year and team to team so no one knows who the "better" kids are. I can see the positives and negatives in that. For me, I like my daughter to strive for something - and she does, too. She LOVES working up to the next level in ice skating and is very proud when she gets her next badge. I remember being a kid and taking swimming lessons, making it all the way up to Life Saver level by age 12 (they wouldn't let me take it because I was too young, though - oooo, I was mad!) But it fired me up to strive for something.

Anyone know about Edina? Other associations? Other schools?

You need to look at the jersey color to tell who the "better" kids are? Hmmm.

To answer your question, green is the top team on the girls side and boys squirts and up. But I believe all the jerseys are green/white. The teams are named by color to denote level. MM same - all teams wear orange/black but the orange named team is (generally) better than black.

I can't think of any other programs that field more than one team at a level which aren't actually considered to be at the same level (in-house) and therefore wear different colors.

I didn't mean better humans. I just meant more skilled, adept, proficient.

Semantics.

Minneapolis Storm has different colors at different levels within age groups.

I know what you meant. I MEANT that its pretty obvious who the better players are by how they PLAY, regardless of the color they wear.
