Unlimited pretty much, money and time are the real constraints... Just regular season including tournaments at the AA/A level expect 50 to 55 on the high end. Tournaments 3 or 4 game guarantee is common. At the end of the day there is no "count" since there is no limit, its up to the coach, the association and the level (AA/A will generally play more than B etc).

You should probably schedule games according to the number of kids on your team. If you have numbers for 3 lines, have at it. At our association, we have a Bantam A and B team with two lines on each team. Our kids would be worn out if we played 40 to 60 games and we have little to no room for injuries/illness. Plus the kids are also students and should have some sort of other life besides hockey 24/7. We scheduled upper 30s games and that equates to two or three games per weekend. Our parents were asked if we wanted more games and the vote was no. With districts our kids might play 40 games.
