Just returned from a great Minnesota visit.

CCM Skills Camp made a stop in Blaine last Saturday & Sunday. 2013 marks the second year of CCM conducting these events. 75 Pee Wee age players were invited each day for a day of hockey and friendship with the purpose of promoting the company's products. Players were outfitted head-to-toe with everything CCM offers.

1) Product seminar
2) On-ice (conducted by Northern Edge)
3) Off-ice/fitness training
4) Nutrition, lifestyle, and mental classroom session

It looked like a ton of fun. Players got to keep a t-shirt, a ball cap, the jerseys, and socks. To see more, visit www.ccmskillscamp.com.

During our visit we also had a chance to connect with some folks for more hockey.

Thanks to C-dad for telling me about the open hockey at BIG, as well as nobody who set up a get-together at the beautiful Dakotah! in Prior Lake. Believe it or not, my son got to play in a 3-on-3 game against the Not-so-big Hook and I ran into the Huge Hook himself the following day!

All-in-all a great trip. The facilities in the Twin Cities are amazing. Most of all, the people in Minnesota are the best. You folks have it awfully good when it comes to youth hockey.

Glad you made it to Prior Lake's Dakotah! Arena O-Town...pretty hard to beat that place... I hope you and your son had a good experience there. My kids play there whenever there's ice and they don't have schedule conflicts with other sports.
