Star Trib is reporting a 4-0 win for Orange. Blades outshot Orange by a wide margin but Orange goaltending was much better than Blades. On site reporter says Orange was more physical and played with a greater sense of urgency and buried their chances. Game 2 of 2 game series is tomorrow night at da Made.

02' Blades Vs. Machine. Time to move rankings around of "Top Minnesota Team" I was told Tony was at game hanging out with Blades parents. Time to fly in the tournament team for tonight!
Wasn't there yesterday, but watched Blades play last weekend and saw Machine play in Stars and Stripes. This 02' class of Minnesota players is deep, talented, fast, like to hit, and have good overall size. Both of these teams have forwards with excellent speed and defensemen that move the puck and control game in ways that much older players do. Will be fun if Dornbach and Bernie keep these kids together in future.
One game, but 4-0 against Blades is impressive.

Haha.
Fact: I was at New Hope last night.
Fiction: Hanging out with Blades parents.
It is pure coincidence that the MNH meeting that I was attending and this game was at the same time. I spoke to 3 buddies of mine as I was walking in, they all happen to be Machine dads. Had I arrived 2 minutes earlier or 2 minutes later I probably would have spoken to 3 Blades dads.
Each of these guys all had a son who played in the Squirtacular and we shared a laugh that I was at NH to discuss the new Squirt Regional Tournament of Champions next March.
