Did anyone else find it odd that an article in "Youth" Hockey Hub contained the F word?

The article was so good that we thought it was worthy of publish "as is". Nor did we find her use of poor language to be repetitive or over the top -- I will add a disclaimer in the am.
One other reason we left it as is was we have doubts that kids are truly lining up to read an article published in Esquire Magazine. We thinks the kids are reading the ones about kids and teams. Just my .02.

Thanks for the explanation. I have to disagree, however. I think it would have been a much better article without it. I'm not offended by the word. I don't know too many people that are anymore. But when I hear someone use it in conversation I automatically assume they are uneducated and unintelligent, fairly or unfairly. It makes it more difficult to take what they say seriously. For example, "If this is what a woman who throws out F-Bombs believes, perhaps I should be in the other camp on this issue." Just my .02 also, and perhaps all it's worth.

Couldn't agree with you more. The minute I hear the effenheimer, I sorta check out.
That being said, I try not to throw the baby out with the bathwater. I thought this piece was spot on. I really liked it because she used a different sport than hockey to make her point.
