I'm sorry to drudge up another negative about this pilot program but I think this is another example of what is wrong with it. The districts that are not having a district playoff are cheating those kids out of a chance to play playoff hockey. What other level of hockey do you not begin the playoffs from within your own conference, region or district. I've been around Minnesota Hockey for many years and this is the first time it has seemed manufactured. Region tournament has the same feel as any other tournament of the year. I think It is too bad. I hope in the future MH requires all districts no matter how large or small to have a district playoff.

Our district has two teams at some levels (AA). What great playoff hockey that would be. I guess you could play best of seven

This AA / A system has not worked out as MN Hockey had planned. Yes this year has had its issues, hopefully the powers to be don't make the same mistakes next year.
