Who will win this highly anticipated match-up between two 6AA powerhouses? Both teams have experienced a slight slump in recent weeks and the winner of this game will surely gain momentum as the second half of the season continues onward.

As of now the race for the 6AA #1 seed is pretty blurry. With Wayzata and BSM essentially back to square one after two lopsided victories going both ways, the #1 seed comes down to this game and Minnetonka's two conference games against Wayzata.

I am going with Tonka on this one due to their defensive strength. While Tonka's offense has had trouble scoring in recent games, I believe that BSM's weaker defense will help them slide a victory tomorrow night.

COMMON OPPONENTS:
Minnetonka 3, St. Thomas 1
Benilde 1, St. Thomas 3

Minnetonka 6, Blaine 2
Benilde 5, Blaine 6

Minnetonka 4, Maple Grove 3
Benilde 5, Maple Grove 1

Minnetonka 1, Hill Murray 2
Benilde 2, Hill Murray 4

Minnetonka 3, Moorhead 3
Benilde 6, Moorhead 1

Always a great game to take in with major 6AA seeding implications.

For Skippers to win they need to:
1) Not give up an early goal; keep crowd quiet
2) Stay out of the penalty box
3) Get scoring from 2nd line

For BSM to win:
1) Keep Tonka first line off the scoresheet
2) Get to Ciacco early; rattle him
3) Win special teams

3-0 after 1.

Same exact game plan as last season's section final for the Red Knights. Sit back, play tight defense, and tear Tonka apart in transition. Credit the oft-criticized Benilde D for playing well enough to make it work in the first period. Tonka had their chances, but there were enough bodies in the way to keep them off the board.

Tonka way too sloppy in transition and the SH goal was awful on many accounts. Tonka missed their chances but give BSM credit for taking advantage and outplaying Tonka when it counts.

More of the same in the 2nd. So much for making adjustments, I guess...

The skipper line juggling has not produced.

BSM too quick in neutral zone

This may go running time
