Referee your own kid's game

Was at this peewee aa LEAGUE game the other night, and rumor went that one of the two on-ice referees was one of the goalie's dad. Kids on ice went like that the 'dad' would get really mad if the other team crashed on the goalie.

From the stand, the referees did an average job, and that is not the point here. THE question here is that whether there is any rule about this.

It happens often with Parents or coach referee in scrimmages.

But this is a league game at PWAA level. Comments?

No rule, but he could've declined the game... Not a goalie dad, but
I've done it a time or 2.
If this person is working AA PW, it should mean he's put his time in,
possibly level 3 and should be unbiased. Not always the case, but you
would hope so...

I don't think that an official should work their childs games or any games at that level within the league. So if your kid is a PWAA in D8, no PWAA D8 league games.

This is the policy that D6 has for officials. I don't know about any other districts.
