Jack wasn't named to either of the Elite League All Star Teams with 18pts during regular season. The U must be going on potential here as he did show the ability to put the puck in net. Though as someone else on the forum pointed out, he had trouble with handling the puck and skating at times....

He will prove to be a good pickup for the Gophers.

Gotta love when everything is handed to a kid and so many other, more talented, harder working kids don't get the name treatment.

i was at the game and wondered the same..this really smells..

The kid has been out 4 weeks with an injury. And couldn't skate during the injury. Only his second game back. It takes time to get his legs back and hands back. he is and will be a great player.

Got some salty rubes in this thread.

Congrats to Jack and hope he wears the maroon and gold well.

Thanks for the update. I figured there had to be something going on.

Jack's game isn't flashy but if you watch him closely he makes great plays on both sides of the puck. Correct he has been injured and will slowly start to get the rust off. STA did a good job of shutting down tonka's first line...

He has been terrific the since Christmas. He is a huge reason why Tonka has gone 9-1 over the last ten games in the lake conference. He has 15 points in the last nine games and these arent powder puff teams. He has been setting Coatta up regularly. Great player.

future Penticton Vee and the BCHL playing with his future Gopher linemate next year. The question is who will round out the 2015 3rd line for the Gophers

Watch a game of tonka's and then use your great hockey IQ and see what you think. Maybe you know something the scouts don't.
