Would you consider EP a MEGA association?

EP can no longer be considered a Mega association (or can they??). Only fielding the following number of teams per level.
5 Bantam
6 PeeWee
5 Squirt
I'd imagine they will not be as competitive in the near future.
Anyone know why their numbers are so low lately?

Easy, the current population generating kids has now slowed and without more families moving in, it will taper off for a few years until next generation has kids, that is if they move back there.

Kind of what Bloomington has been going through in the last decade or so. Right?

EP is not a mega association with less than 100 kids per level. They will fade like Bloomington Lincoln, Fridley, Columbia Heights, Richfield. Will soon be Chanhassen/EP co-op.

Shows how many families move to old time Edina for Hockey just to end up on B and C teams.

I'd like to hope they move back due to Edina being one of the Top Academic schools in the state.

Could be a little truth to that, but Eden Prairie also has some highly ranked schools.

They are having trouble getting 4 and 5 year olds to try hockey...over time that catches up to you. Also, you can't compare Edina to EP or about anywhere else - they get 100 kids in a grade to try hockey no problem. Lots of tradition, former players live and coach there, and the general peer pressure to try hockey is strong there.
Hopefully EP can get more little guys to try puck.
