Bummer on the size of the rosters. 12 forwards, or 4 lines, is the worst. It appears they may even have more than that. For a positive experience they should only have 15 skaters at games.

Who let the proverbial ‘coaching’ fox in the chicken coop for Metro Northwest? Glad he was able to get his kid on the team along with 6 other Blaine skaters AND an alternate. You would have thought that after his embarassing display at the Section Championship last year that someone would have the common sense to stay away from him.

No quite as bad BSM getting all their overrated sophs in and STA getting most of their student body in. :D

Or, maybe it's a sign that these two private schools are attracting some talented players. :D

BSM's overrrated Sophs? Last I checked Newhouse, Jungels and Kaske were all in New York for Natl Select 15's?

Blue white try spell check before you hit send. If you had the mind to check any stats you would see that 2 of the 3 sophomores played a regular shift all the way to the AA title. I am not sure that puts them in the overrated category.

You think! I'm still trying to figure out why the south-of-the-metro staff didn't put a PeeWee A from Mankato West, New Prague, New Ulm, or Northfield just to really drive their point home.

nothing hard to believe league is losing all credibilty -- NW team based out of Crookston, big surprise Crookston has most players on team, coincidence or talant, what has any Crookston team done in last decade, that is a not a question....lol

That's it? For missing one letter? BTW one soph played regular shifts, the other got token shifts at best - oh and scored most of his goals vs. very weak opponents. And please tell me where I can find shift stats - I don't think such a thing exists.

Don't worry Bluewhite...that wouldn't have showed up with spell check. You spelled "no" correctly. Wside overreacted, but they do that out there at times.

Easy Bluewhitefan everyone that knows anything about these tryouts know that they did not have to tryout and they were put on the team

Are these players allowed to

Quit and come back to High School level if they choose or it doesn't work out wherever they are?

So much for community hockey musings in the posts below. Let the kids play where they want to. Once they get high enough most leave and do so anyways.

Forgive me for being so stupid and expecting a fair tryout process! Under what criteria were they put on a team?

So this is the kind of guy they get to coach (AND evaluate) for Team Metro Northwest??? SHAME on the organizers!

Is there any truth that after Michael was given the 5 min major and the 10 min misconduct that his father was able to confront the refs in their locker room and was tossed from the rink for his conduct? This was the game at the Coliseum against Maple Grove.

Easton18 wrote:Witnessed it first hand, pretty ugly scene. Unfortunate that at the Coliseum the refs have to walk through the concourse to get to their locker room. Makes them a pretty open target for verbal abuse, as Mr. Brodzinski demonstrated. He had to be restrained by a couple parents, and the refs were escorted back to the ice for the second period by a pair of police officers. Certainly not what you want to see at a high school sporting event.

If they make the final cut to New York they are automatically placed on the prep team (U15 -U16) And no you are not Stupid.

Question:

Why doesn't the Elite leagues invite the Minnesota Blades to compete
in the Elite 1 and the Elite Development leagues?

IMO, it makes sense to give more MN kids some exposure versus
the Colorado Rampage.
