No quite as bad BSM getting all their overrated sophs in and STA getting most of their student body in.IMHO wrote:Who let the proverbial ‘coaching’ fox in the chicken coop for Metro Northwest? Glad he was able to get his kid on the team along with 6 other Blaine skaters AND an alternate. You would have thought that after his embarassing display at the Section Championship last year that someone would have the common sense to stay away from him.
Or, maybe it's a sign that these two private schools are attracting some talented players.Bluewhitefan wrote:No quite as bad BSM getting all their overrated sophs in and STA getting most of their student body in.
You think! I'm still trying to figure out why the south-of-the-metro staff didn't put a PeeWee A from Mankato West, New Prague, New Ulm, or Northfield just to really drive their point home.urban iceman wrote:South team looks pretty sad!
That's it? For missing one letter? BTW one soph played regular shifts, the other got token shifts at best - oh and scored most of his goals vs. very weak opponents. And please tell me where I can find shift stats - I don't think such a thing exists.Wside wrote:Blue white try spell check before you hit send. If you had the mind to check any stats you would see that 2 of the 3 sophomores played a regular shift all the way to the AA title. I am not sure that puts them in the overrated category.
Don't worry Bluewhite...that wouldn't have showed up with spell check. You spelled "no" correctly. Wside overreacted, but they do that out there at times.Bluewhitefan wrote:

Easy Bluewhitefan everyone that knows anything about these tryouts know that they did not have to tryout and they were put on the teamBluewhitefan wrote:That's it? For missing one letter? Forgive me for being so stupid and expecting a fair tryout process! Under what criteria were they put on a team?langskates wrote:Easy Bluewhitefan everyone that knows anything about these tryouts know that they did not have to tryout and they were put on the teamBluewhitefan wrote:That's it? So this is the kind of guy they get to coach (AND evaluate) for Team Metro Northwest??? SHAME on the organizers!IMHO wrote:Who let the proverbial ‘coaching’ fox in the chicken coop for Metro Northwest? Is there any truth that after Michael was given the 5 min major and the 10 min misconduct that his father was able to confront the refs in their locker room and was tossed from the rink for his conduct? This was the game at the Coliseum against Maple Grove.

Makes them a pretty open target for verbal abuse, as Mr. Brodzinski demonstrated. He had to be restrained by a couple parents, and the refs were escorted back to the ice for the second period by a pair of police officers. Certainly not what you want to see at a high school sporting event.
