Aside from Stars & Stripes, 03 tourneys in the metro have all been low on #'s this summer at the invite level. Why?

Team Combat? Isn't that really Reebok Nationals? Why the name change?

I think people are wising up and coming to their senses and taking control of their lives. Summer hockey is starting -- I said starting to resemble association hockey. Families want their lives yback. Oh, yeah, let's not forget the economy.

The invite designation at that age is done by the wishful dads. Sure some teams are better than others and some have more high end players but the invite vs. open level is squishy until they're PeeWees when it gets better sorted out. There are players on 03 invite teams weaker than several players not on invite teams.

How is it starting to resemble association hockey?

At the very least I am looking forward to watching 99 Team Combat compete in this tournament. Maybe filling the Wolfpack role as I believe that program has been dissolved because of age/disinterest.

Edgeless,
What do you know about Team Combat? Sounds like a good team. Who are the favorites in the 98 and 99 divisions?

Good luck to all..............

Edgeless, I heard that Team Combat is part of a program called Beyond the Pond. It appears that this program will offer the following:
nutrition advisors, mental strength coaches, speech and communications tutors, off ice speed/agility/strength programs, professional on-ice instructors and NHL advisors.
home/away jerseys and socks, Combat 52 Cal pro knit Gloves, Combat pro stock hockey bags and Helmets.

Sounds like yet another promising youth hockey program.

It's full of drama, albeit a slightly different type, but enough to make somewhat normal fathers lose their minds. I don't think many of the players are posting on here. I include myself in the insanity.

Look at the watch....back n forth....when u awake there will be no memory of the Beyond The Pond/Team combat posts or any memory of the details of the conversation posted on here. You have never heard of beyond the pond.

Well if they can't win a local tourney, how will they do in Toronto, Chicago, Winnepeg, Detroit??? Still wondering about the missing posts? Maybe the mental strength coaches will put them over the top!

Edgeless,
Personally I'm leaning towards the speech and communication tudors. But the NHL advisors are what sold me on this program. Do you know if beyond the pond has a website? When are tryouts?

I have a few thousand dollars I want to burn. I was thinking why not play for this team. Get a huge advantage by playing tournaments in Toronto, Chicago, Winnipeg, and Detroit. DI here we come.
