The fastest growing association in the state, Minneapolis Youth Hockey Association (formerly known as Washburn and Southwest Hockey Associations), is looking for quality coaches at all levels - boys and girls programs.

We are a development focused program following many of the American Development Model (ADM) principles. In addition to providing our teams with quality ice opportunities, we have built our own dryland facility (designed by Jack Blatherwick) to aid in off-ice development (video of facility here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... hXi-4AO0pY).

We are a member association of District 3, competing against Wayzata, Osseo/MG, Hopkins, StLP, Crow River, Orono, North Metro, and Armstrong/Cooper in the western suburbs.

For 2012-13, we are projecting 8 Squirt, 8 Peewee, 5 Bantam, 3 10U, 3 12U, and 2 14U teams and will need coaches at all levels.

Our primary rinks are located near Uptown/downtown (Parade) and the University of Minnesota (Northeast, Mariucci, Ridder). We also utilize several other facilities located in the city of Minneapolis. We host our own tournament, as well as provide for two additional tournaments (one out of town). Teams on an individual basis can work with their coaches to obtain more games or tournaments.

We provide a coach's stipend and reimburse certification/training costs. We are looking for both Head Coaches and Assistance.

Great video. Showed my kids-hopefully they see what it takes. You have NHLers with the PWs. Also a few Jack Jablonski cameos that ground you on what he has had to deal with.
