Wasn't impressed with TRF tonight. I think the Hawks will crush them

After watching TRF in the nightcap, I was also not very impressed.

Their first line isn't too bad, but besides that Hermantown is way too deep.

4-2 Final.

Hermantown is too strong. They were a little sloppy in the first against Lourdes, but they took over after that. The Prowlers didn't look ready to play. It's a good thing they played New Ulm, because any other non-seeded teams in the tournament would have jumped on them in that flat first. If Thief comes out like that on Friday, the Hawks will take control early.

Prediction...
Hawks 6
Prowlers 2
....and Housley with no less that 6 head scratching comments!!! ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

Hawks are just too much for the Prowlers 6-2

I think the prowlers will give the hawks more of a game then they are thinking, I'm going to say 4-3 prowlers in one or two overtimes!!

I would say that Hermantown is to smart to overlook TRF. This trip is all business for this group of Seniors. If they lose it will not be from overlooking or looking ahead.

i haven't watched TRF all year, but i admit i bought into the hype for them. decided to stay last night and watch the game and was quite unimpressed! they came out so flat. if they didn't draw NU, i think they would have been at the mariucci this morning. maybe they'll bounce back, but I H-town wins this contest 5-2

They came out flat is right. expect them to regroup and be the TRF team that dominated section 8A this year. they played hermantown to a 3-1 loss this december in a game where trf looked flat just like they did last night. physical play and the scoring threat of soderstrom, ose and odberg will lead the prowlers into a state championship game

1-0 Hermantown. Only a matter of time before this one is over. I think they have too much skill for anyone to beat them.

Pretty good, TRF is keeping it at 1-0. A goal on that PP would have been huge, of course.

Well shows you what I know. Still 1-0. TRF doing a much better job in their own end, but not really much on offense.

2-on-1 for TRF to make 1-1.

Follow up off a pipe to make it 2-1 TRF.

Kohlquist ties it 2-2. (Is he by any chance related to Kyle Kohlquist?)

Pretty sure he is, yes.

Great game--TRF is playing smart, lots of dump-and-chase. Their hard work is paying off.

I assume that the Engelstad that plays for Thief River is a grandson or great grandson of the Engelstad who paid for their arena.

Great game! And thanks to Channel 45 for streaming it to those of us who are faaaarrrr away.

Bergland has done an excellent job with the Thief River Falls program. Congrats to them upon reaching the semi-finals two years in a row!

Best of luck to Hermantown tomorrow night. May the puck bounce your way!

According to what the announcers said that would be his grandpas brother that paid for the rink

Great showing by the prowlers. Hermantown will need to be better tomorrow if they want to finish off an undefeated season.
