I think the little chip on the hounds shoulder gives them the needed boost to get past the eagles 5-3

Yea I like that 5-3 scoreline as well. Skoog will let in a little more than Parker would, but its too hard to stop East from scoring.

Im going with an upset (kinda) 3 to 3 tie. Will EP bring out some fans and have a packed house for this big game?

Not to worry! Your hounds came out MUCH hungrier in the second after a good a$$ chewing (I a$$ume) by Randolph!

After EP did a nice job bottling the Hounds up at times in the first, East took over in the 2nd. I believe they said the shots were 20-3. Great forecheck from all three lines, and the top line had a ton of chances. Randolph had the first three goals, and Toninato the 4th. Watching Meirs Moore go to work on the 4-on-4 ahead of the Toninato goal was terrific. Skoog is also looking the sharpest I've seen him.

Line of the night from Bart Archer: "If Randolph and Toninato are the straws that stir the drink, Moore is the glass that holds it."

4-2 Final. EP actually looked quite good in the first and third periods, but the second period killed them. These two teams always seem to play entertaining games--high-intensity but not chippy. East may have won, but I like the makeup of the EP team. They aren't a team I'd want to have to deal with in sections.

Nothing fancy in the final frame from the Hounds, but they took care of business. On to Apple Valley.

I agree with Karl completely. East definitely gained a ton of momentum in the second period but EP gained some back in the third.

I was disappointed in the Eden Prairie fans. Not only were the adults not loud at all, their student section was nonexistent. For how big of a school they are and how big of a game that was, I find it weird that there was no student section present.

Even with that, after the triple OT thriller in last years state championship, they didn't even care. They are numb to winning. If that isn't a sign that a school is too big, too many kids to pick from, I'm not sure what is.

If East plays like they did in the 2nd period they are unbeatable, even with 3 top players out. 1st and 3rd periods were solid but not great.

Not a bunch to cheer about for EP in this game. East is just that good this year. I would bet they have silenced more than one venue this season. EPCC is the most sterile place to play in, just
awful. Hounds go undefeated this year! First time since Jefferson in mid 90's?

If they beat Tonka next Saturday at Pagel they will surely finish the regular season unbeaten. Anything can happen at state but they'll probalby win that too.
