I was surprised when I hadn't seen anything started about this game yet... Anyways. Does anyone think the Jacks can pull of the upset?

Of course it's possible. Always is when these teams play, regardless of who is favored.
East by two.

Just don't see any way Jacks pull an upset, but I think they keep it relatively close. 6-3 DE

When is the last time the Jacks one a game in this rivalry? I'm predicting running time.

2/23/08, the 7AA semifinal. Heard they were thinking of naming a street after David Brown after that game.

I'm very glad that game is in the past.
I'll be in Cloquet for this one, predicting a 6-3 result in East's favor.

Yea Cloquet's goalie stood on his head that game - could've been quite a few more goals. Despite missed opportunities, still one of East's best games yet, scary part is that it should get better

Can we now put to bed the phase, "Esse always has his team ready to play big games"?

Pretty early in the season to qualify last night's game as a "big game". If the same thing happens in the playoffs, then I would agree.

As much as I'd like to see Cloquet be more competitive in a possible playoff game with Duluth East, I just don't see it happening. East players know that no matter how hard Cloquet works the rest of the season, no matter how determined they are, that East can play drunk and still trounce the Jacks.
