Coon Rapids down 3-1 came back to tie it up to bring the game into OT. Blaine scoring with 2 minutes left in the OT for a 4-3 win. No real standouts in the game. This is the 3rd OT game for Coon Rapids all against NWSC teams resulting in 1 tie and 2 losses

Former Coon Rapids youth player Ian Scheid with the goal in OT for Blaine against his former teammates! Coon Rapids is a scrappy team that can give good teams a hard time, but one thing I noticed in the game was a lot of after the whistle stuff and quite a few penalties the first 2 periods before they started coming back.

I wasn't asking for the stats, I was just simply stating Coon Rapids played chippy the first couple of periods before they started scoring. Before the opening puck was even dropped a CR wing slashed the stick of a Blaine wing out of his hands (Although he was another transfer from CR). They are a team that works hard and will win more games this year than they have in the past I would think, but I'm just saying they can get chippy.

Not to be arguementive here, but you must have been watching the game one-sidedly. First of all the CR player did not slash the Blaine player he actually popped his stick up and yes it did go flying. To me he made a statement and set the tone of the game before the puck was dropped. Secondly, did you not see the cross checks, slashes, interferences by number 20 and 25 on Blaine? It went on the whole game. CR was getting underneath there skin. Blaine moved the puck better than CR, but CR was no where near intimidated by Blaine. I think by you saying it was chippy is pretty lame. There was alot of adrenaline pumping BEFORE the puck was dropped which created alot of physical play on both sides. What about the transfer from CR that received 2 penalties? Did you not see that either? All I am saying is it went both ways. From the 2 games I have watched CR they can play any type of game. Opponents want to get physical CR can hand out brutal hits also, if the game is about scoring they can do that to. They proved that in the last 2 games they played trailing in the 3rd to tie the games up to go into OT

LetsPlayHockey22....Looks like CRHockey gotcha on this one. I checked the game sheet CR had 7 penalties thru 2 periods vs. 6 for Blaine, pretty comparable

I wasn't arguing that Blaine had more penalties, and yes the former CR player took 2 undisciplined penalties including one in OT. My statement was just that CR was very physical after the whistle. And as for #'s 20/25, I don't think 20 got any penalties, 25 had 1 or 2. And also, in this particular game I thought Coon Rapids moved the puck better, Blaine's D couldn't break the puck out of their zone hardly.
