Anyone else disappointed with the warm weather? My pond was almost ready for some hockey, now I'm back to square one. :x

Yes very frustrating. As bad as a brown Christmas might be, an outdoor hockey-less one is even worse. Oh how I long for some shinny right about now.....

We got one skate in last weekend on the backyard rink and that was it. I'm afraid it's really going to be a mess once it finally cools down. People think I'm nuts when I say it's too warm out!

The no snow factor is fine, but I had/have a nice ice shelf(now under an inch of water/slush), just need it to get & stay below freezing. Winter in MN with no snow/no ice.....lame.

Hope my base/ice shelf holds.....I'd like to get back out Friday or Saturday.

It's the middle of December and the grass is green. Ugh!
This is the slowest start to the skating season in a long time.

Hey.Elliott....Can you give the Rink Manager a call at the new Coon Rapids Ice Center he can't even keep ice inside let alone outside.

Come on over.

If we get through this morning sleet we should be good for the winter.

Call Vance Balstad in Bemidji.
He is a miracle worker on inside and outside ice.

While I am happy as heck that I don't have any use for the snowblower, I currently have a 25x60 foot swimming pool in the back yard. Judging by the weather outlook, it looks like the kids won't be skating on it until after Xmas.

Yep, same here. Although I did flood Sunday, Dec 4th and it froze over nicely that week. At least we were able to use it last Fri night, all day Saturday and Sunday morning. Might be a little while until it's in use again. :( C'mon Cold!!

Grab your sticks and I don't mean hockey. We're golfing in the metro.
