Can anyone explain what the rule is when a player gets a game misconduct with an ejection from the game? Doesn't that player have to sit out the next game?

New rule this year..........would appear that the "game misconduct" may have been the wrong assessed penalty. Either way, the outcome is the same according to MSHSL policy (read below).#2 Hockey Mom wrote:Illegal check to the head-major (5:00)
Illegal check to the head-game misconduct (10:00)
Player was ejected from the game.[/b]
For Minnesota, there is no difference between a game misconduct and game DQ. They are treated the same, and both include missing the next game.SECoach wrote:Game misconduct-can play next game#2 Hockey Mom wrote:Can anyone explain what the rule is when a player gets a game misconduct with an ejection from the game? Game disqualification-cannot play next game
They are two different penalties
The title of the thread is 10 minute misconduct (which also carries no penalty for the next game).......what was the call?
I am surprised that you would be so vocal about this. As you attack me I found two previous posts made from overseas. The only two Warroad girls on the team would be Sylvestor and Marvin. The rest of the readers can make their own opinions but i would think it easy to see through this one. Disgrace to Warroad and the game of hockey, coach.Freedom-Of-Speach wrote:hometown warrior> Since your kid quit hockey this year, why are you so worried?
#2 Hockey Mom> GET-A-LIFE. Watch the games instead of bitching about them, all the time. The ref's will do their jobs alright, without you.
