Very impressive that Blaine (unranked) was able to stay with and tie Edina (ranked #3AA). I also see where #15AA Coon Rapids lost to unranked Hopkins by a 5-2 score, so congrats to Hopkins as well.

Hopkins is no stranger to big games and State tourneys, so they are always a tough out, but definately a good way for them to start the year.

Edina outshot Blaine over 2 to 1. I think Blaine goalie saw 50 plus shots. Physical game. Edina in big and strong, moves the puck well.

Blaine should be proud they tied this one, had the lead until 38 seconds left in the game. After Blaine gets their line combinations down, they should have good scoring power. All 3 goals tonight were on the PP.
NW Suburban will be strong this year.

Edina Player was taken off on a stretcher 1 1/2 minutes left in overtime. Hard to see what really happened. Hope she is OK,
Any Edina fans in the know, Please post the status of the player.
