I was on the phone with some Iron Range peeps and word around the Range is that Greenway is back to two teams. Any word to confirm this and whats it gonna look like for Raider Country?

Two teams? They were awful with one team last year, can't see any way they could make two teams. Unless both are even worse.

I believe he was referring to having both a Varsity and a JV team, which they have not had for a few years... and it is true, they do have both this year. They will also be back in the Iron Range Conference again this year.

I take back my snarky comment. It is good that Greenway's program is seeing brighter days. They are a big part of Iron Range hockey.

Greenway has 27 players out for JV and Varsity. They have scheduled practices for Bantam A and Bantam B as well as PeeWee A and Peewee B. A good sign that Greenway's hockey program is on the way back. Thanks again to those boys who two years ago saved the program by forcing the school to keep hockey. Some of those on that team had not played hockey since PeeWees.

That is great news. Good luck to Greenway this year.

Their barn is one of the coolest rinks to play in. Love the homer refs.

We called it "The Pit" and a place in the past where no one liked to go to play.

It would be good to see Greenway come back to 7AA someday. I sure miss those days of rivalry games at Hodgins-Berrardo when they were fighting for seeding position.

2-0 to start of the season, ya played Eveleth and Wadena but like a coach told me ya gotta play the game, ya never know what can happen on any given night.

Got a line and a half, eventually prob gonna have to seperate his eggs to balance things out or else really gonna take a beating down the road.

Defense 3 ok, got best two together and two lazy ones together or the third had a off night and is getting outta football mode.

Goaltending I think I would be more scared against the teams they should beat than the better teams, seems to just take things granted against teams they should beat and it looks like ahhhh angle is good enough.
Sure doesnt look like no Elite League goalie to me

But all in all with thier schedule no reason shouldnt be 500 or a little better

Is the hockey team going to be the GNK Titans and are they really AA caliber? Glad to hear they're program is turning around from where it was at.
