With the recent folding of the Holy Family / Waconia JV coop team we are is desperation mode to find a home for 6 - 9 players and a goalie. We would like to field a team in Waconia but are open to discussions since the future of these girls playing the greatest game on the planet is in jeopardy. Reaching out to the hockey community to try and get something done asap.[/b]

Chaska/Chan? EP? Buffalo? Orono?
You probably know the map a little better than I do. Nobody has exactly the right number so I would think there would be an opportunity or two somewhere nearby. You should work with the District Girls Director for starters.

What is the residency rule for 14U? There are so many associations, especially out-state where they are raiding the 12U to fill varsity/JV spots, that don't have 14U hockey - can these girls go anywhere they want, like free agents?

Just like any player at any level, they can waive to another association with the approval of both sides. Not having a team to play on is generally accepted as a valid reason to waive. Often at the 14U level a co op is created so they all go together.

"generally accepted"? It seems to me that if an association does not offer a team, then there is no team to be waived 'from'. That girl still has to go back to the association that is offering her no chance to play, and ask permission to go play somewhere else?
