Article in the Strib stated he "committed". Is "committing" different from "signing". Will Shibrowski sign on with a ride, or is he committing to coming there on his own nickel and walking on?minnscout wrote:Former Benilde goalie to play for Gophers
Just trying to get clarity on terminology.
Also from the Strib:
"He played high school hockey at Benilde-St. Margaret's, but spent his senior season playing midget hockey in Kansas City."

i dont know the difference between committing or signing but i do know that shibrowski left his senior year from bsm to play for russell stover. he later committed to colorado college and played a semester of hockey there and then returned to juniors this season.

Mike had a nice year in Des Moines. Very athletic goalie. Great kid also. I would not be surprised to see him do well at the U if given a chanceReggie wrote:Nice tender, good addition to the U's roster!

I think he left the team a few weeks after the season started. He was put into the backup roll, UNDESERVINGLY. I can't remember the younger kid that was put in front of him.

pretty sure he was a sophomore when BSM went to state. That was the first yr Pauley returned to BSN from Tonka.

Correct, they went to state in 2008.
