The announcers keep saying White Bear Lake is 0-18 at the State Tournament. The is accurate when considering the quarterfinals. WBL has won a few games in their state tourney history.
Today they should have snapped the quarterfinal streak. They had their chances at the end of regulation and in the overtime. I hope they can get back next year and end the hex.

Defense should be solid yeah and Schletty will be back. Hes 5-1 career at sections. Should get even better next year especially with the state experience.

Might be tough when you consider the fact that they lose nearly all of their offense. Schletty is good and there defense is so-so, but it took a monsterous effort by Jensen, Birkinbine, and Wahlin to sneak past the Pioneers in 2OT. Pioneers will be back at State next year, no flukes.

Schletty looked good against Hill-Murray. But I thought he actually had a bad game today. He got caught out of position 5 or 6 times today (outside of the goals he let in) and got very lucky each time. I think the score could have been much higher had he faced some higher-quality shooters.

Still cant believe how many chances White Bear Lake had to win it and didn't.

I still can't believe how many dummies around me thought that high stick/goal shouldn't have been called off...

It was the right called, unfortunate, but the right call. Just the way it goes for WBL..

The ref made the right call right away, he was in great position for it too.

Correct.
It was unfortunate, but it was the right call.
