Cretin 4-3 OT

Have to go with the Bears, they have been the more consistent team all year. Cretin is just to hard to figure out to say they will win this game. I expect the Bears goaltending to bounce back and be the difference in the game.

WBL 5
Cretin 3

3-3 Tie
Putting a little more mud in the SEC race as Stillwater tries to catch up with the powerful W.B.L team.

Stillwater will become Cretin fans for this one; the Ponies still have a 3 point margin to close in order to tie WB for the conference.

Sadly I don't see it happening...

WB by 2.

This will be a good game. I have seen some pretty impressive performances from the Raiders but I have also seen some piss poor efforts. They will show up for this one. Raiders win 4-2

I took some heat on a different subject for saying that I heard that WBL was pretty beat up after the game with Stillwater. Just what I heard, no I was not there, I'm just saying.

Cretin by 1 goal, close game. :D

CDH has risen to the occasion when they needed to (Edina) They will get WBL back for the early season whipping they took.

Youngy and Hanker... the history of Sager-led teams has shown that CDH has won the final week matchup over WBL each of the past 3 years, I believe...

That was me. Sorry about that. I wasn't trying to be biased, but I didn't think Stillwater beat up on WBL. It was a pretty well played physical game. I just give the overall edge and play to the Bears in that one. Goaltending was the obvious difference in why the Bears lost that game. IMO.

Now back to this game. I agree with GFD. WBL seems to win earlier in the year, and CDH gets the win later in the year. WBL has been playing really well except for the little bump in the road this past Saturday afternoon. If WBL wins this, I think they go on to win the SEC. If not, then it'll likely come down to the final one or two games. CDH beat Edina not that long ago, who I think can beat anyone in the state when they're playing their best hockey. Both teams are somewhat simular having one real good line, and above average goaltending. I think WBL has a little more depth though. With that being said, I still like the Bears in a close one.

WBL-4
CDH-3

Fan04...

It just doesn't fall to WBL vs CDH for the last week of the season blahs... It had been that way with Woodbury, too, although the school split in Woodbury lessens it going forward. Part of my issues with leadership is that the record for WBL the last week of the season for the past 3 years has been 0-6 vs CDH and Woodbury, and have included tough games with either ties or 1-goal Ws vs MV and Roseville.

I won't be surprised to see a CDH victory.

I wouldn't be surprised either. I just don't know which CDH team will show up. The one that WBL whipped 7-1, tied 6-6 to Park, lost to Woodbury twice, or the one that beat Edina? This team is tough to figure out. I think they'll play well, but I believe WBL is the better team and more consistent team.

So much for the W.B.L. goal tending coming back after the Stillwater loss. :?

Four On Oh!!!

The Bears had a 4 on 0 break and didn't get a shot off. I can't remember ever seeing a 4 on 0. But to not even get a shot on goal!

You must not have been at the game. Both goalies actually played well. There were quality chances on both sides where the goalies came up huge, especially the WBl goalie in the OT when Cretin had a few point blank opportunities that were saved. No soft goals in this game.

You forget who is coaching the Bears, in the past only certain players were allowed to to shoot the puck so with these two handicaps a 4 on 0 break is a tuff thing to accomplish at times for a Bear. Unfortunate for the players because they all have the skill coming into High School hockey but a couple years in the Sager system and it all goes to pot.
