The winner of their next meeting, Tuesday, Feb. 8th, will be awarded the top seed. (that's if none of them stumble towards the end of the season)

Honestly it doesn't matter what happens after Tuesday. Historically section record trumps everything else, and the winner of that game will own not only the best section record, but the head-to-head tie breaker.
#3-5 is the real question, however. Each team can make a case for the #3, but a case can also be made for each to be #5...
Alphabetically:
Brainerd/P/P (15-7)
Case for #3 - beat Tech recently (the old, playeing better lately), close loss to Moorhead (OT)
Case for #5 - lost only meeting with Roseau and worst Section record amongst this group (3-5)
Roseau (9-11)
Case for #3 - beat Moorhead, Beat Brainerd/P/P, toughest strength of schedule of the group
Case for #5 - poor overall record, loss to Tech (chance to split series this Friday 2/11)
St. Cloud Tech (12-8-1)
Case for #3 - best section record of the group (5-3), win vs. Roseau (chance to sweep this Friday), close loss to Bemidji (OT)
Case for #5 - overall record compared to B/P/P (Central Lakes Conf.), loss to Brainerd/P/P recently (playing worse lately)

This is the way I see it, also.
But Tuesday night game would switch 1 & 2 if Moorhead wins.

If they tie, I think that Bemidji gets the #1 on better section record (no losses). Bemidji (section only), 6-0-1, Moorhead (section only) 5-1-1 (the loss to Roseau). Add a tie to each and Bemidji has the edge. JMHO...

Section record / overall record.
no97 explained it perfectly.

I vote Bemidji get's top seed. I'd like to see a "B" town make it to the X in this order-
#1 Brainerd
#2 Bemidji
#3 Buffalo
That said- I hope this is the year that NEITHER Spuds or Rams are playing in March! Time for new blood in 8AA!

If the spuds play like they have been the last couple games on tuesday, I'll take Bemidji.

Having seen all the teams, Bemidji and the Spuds are the true two contenders. The rest are just in it to be spoilers.
Goaltending will advance a team, and the Rams have only adequate goaltending, and average defense in front of them. This adds up to many goals scored on the Rams. Not good to advance. My preditiction is the Rams will not be in the section finals this year!
