Bemidji 6 - Roseau 0 final AT Roseau

How embarrassing for the Roseau fans to see their team in running time. I bet their fair-weather-fans left the stands and went over to the legion for a few stiff ones, huh?

Anyone else surprised by this blowout? Pretty big rivals with Bemidji usually coming in on the short hand. What the heck happened to Roseau? Or is Bemidji the real deal?

Don't you normally need more the one line to compete? It's called politics.

Roseau only played ONE line? doubt it. So did they decide to play more than one line against Brainerd then????

Not surprised by the number of goals. Roseau has very questionable goaltending. Bemidji scored seven the first time they played. Surprised Bemidji shut them out in Roseau. Bemidji and Moorhead play for the number one seed on Tuesday. Would be a great one to see.

It's hard to believe but Roseau is just having a down year. This is high school hockey so it will happen every now and than. Frankly, it doesn't matter who the head coach is for whoever suggested Oliver should come back. The head coach won't get a more talented players on the ice. You have to realize that they are the smallest AA school so sometimes they will have seasons like this where they have problems getting wins. Instead of saying,"what the hell is wrong with these guys this year" a season like this should remind us how impressive it is that they consistently have a successful team.

"what the hell is wrong with these guys this year"

I never used that word......

and it appears that Roseau is extremely inconsistent this year so I find it hard to believe it is complete lack of talent -- talent had to beat Moorhead and Brainerd -- unless those teams just had terrible nights when they played Roseau (which could be the case. many a good team has been caught off guard and had "off" nights) .....

but I will buy that talent is what is in Bemidji's favor this year -- good or bad coaching, this group, over the years, has done very well. We will see if they have enough in them to take it all the way.

Roseau played terribley, and the goaltender that started apperantly wasn't up for the game. second period they had 4 shots on goal and 3 goals. Makes it tough for the team. I would think they would stick with Strand now. Roseau came out Saturday and played a better game. In front of Strand. Although missing Norman with his physical presense. And they finally had enough d on the bench. Just wish they would figure out to quit pinching every single time and learn a little d-fense! In front of there own net. Covering other players. Not quit under standing some of the players on the ice either You have Govijk switching off with another player. I think this kid needs to be on the ice all the time he playes a physical game and isn't scared of the corners like a few of the other wingers. The one he is swithcing off with, don't remember his name. I think he is a little bit of a spark plug. And could get some excitment out of the team every once and a while. Would be fun to see him playing with Erickson No# 10 on a regular basis. This team has some tallent just think it is not being utilized like it should be. There not going to win every game but should never get blown out like they did Friday.
